The women's green Vanguard jacket is a lightweight, waterproof hard shell designed for versatility through wind and showers. Constructed from our own DarkMatr™ fabric, the Vanguard jacket has a remarkable 35,000 air permeability rating making it highly breathable for hiking technical terrain. With 15,000 hydrostatic head, the Vanguard jacket offers a reliable waterproofing for moderate showers.

The Vanguard jacket features our proprietary DarkMatr™ fabric containing an electro-spun membrane for enhanced breathability whilst active. This electro-spun membrane resembles a web of ultra-fine fibres which creates a higher porosity than conventional PU or ePTFE membranes. In practice this helps move vapour faster, better handling physical exertion and making you feel less clammy as a result. However, because of the nano-scale of the pores in the electro-spun membrane, water cannot permeate helping the Vanguard jacket to balance both breathability, thermal regulation and waterproofing. Due to this innovative membrane, the Vanguard Jacket will also cope better than conventional waterproof jackets in high humidity environments. All this at a lighter weight also, the Vanguard jacket weighs just 350g in total. With a drawstring adjustable hood and stiffened peak, elasticated sleeve cuffs and waist adjustment cord. Two hand pockets keep the jacket light with a minimal carry system and a Vislon® Aquaguard front zip from YKK® offers greater waterproofing than conventional zips.
